Calvary Baptist offers girls athletics in volleyball, basketball, and soccer at the Varsity and Middle School Levels.
Our varsity volleyball program is coached by Bev Kicinski. Bev has been involved with the program at Calvary since 1990. She has attended many coaches clinics, including the clinic run by Russ Rose at Penn State. During that time, our volleyball program has captured 6 league titles. Our middle school volleyball program this year will be coached by Brittany Breiner. Brittany is coaching in her first year, but has played volleyball at both the high school and college levels, so she has been around the game for many years. She brings a knowledge and love for the game and the girls who play for her, an important ingredient when developing young players.
Our varsity basketball program is coached by Scott Bergey. Scott has 3 years of coaching experience at the high school level, all coached here at Calvary. Scott Loves the game, and loves the opportunity to teach it, while using the opportunity to draw life lessons from the athletic arena. The girls program holds 11 league titles, including undefeated conference championships two of the last three years. Our middle school basketball program tis year will be coached by a first year coach, Nicole Jacques. Nicole played basketball in both high school and college, receiving recognitions at both levels for her level of play. She brings a youthful exuberance to the court that our girls will benefit from.
Our varsity soccer team is coached by Chris Barclay. Chris has coached travel teams for about 18 years and has been the head coach here at Calvary for the past 4 years, having won the league title in his first year as coach. Chris brings a great knowledge of the game and a love and patience to teach it. This coming season will be the first year we are offering middle school soccer, and the team will be coached by Justin Harbin. Justin also coaches our MS boys, and is a graduate of Northland Baptist Bible college, where he played soccer at the collegiate level. Justin brings a love for the game and does a great job teaching the fundamentals to his players.
